The Big Family Press is a community printing press developed with children aged 4-12 in after-school care and based at the Old Manor Park Library, east London. The press has been running since 2017, and brings children and their communities into a dialogue with artists to publish, archive and amplify young people’s otherwise marginalised experiences, knowledges and perspectives on the world.

Using D.I.Y. publishing strategies and a collaborative, experimental, and child-led approach, young people are supported to articulate and share their personal stories, histories and demands for the world.
